Renan Franzen is a multi-award nominated composer that has been making music for the past 16 years. Growing up in Brazil enabled him to have a wide musical background, from Brazilian Popular Music up to more aggressive rock genres. He is keen to experiment in his music, hence his diverse music background and taste. From his studio he has been collaborating with film directors and musicians worldwide.
His most recent work on film is in the short film 'No Love Lost', directed by Shekhar Bassi. The film premiered at the Adelaide Film Festival in October 2013 and has appeared in over 50 festivals around the world collecting awards and nominations such as the Van Gogh - Cinematic Vision Award at theAmsterdam Film Festival, and also bringing his first nomination at the International Samobor Film Music Festival.
In 2013 he also composed for the indie feature 'Consequence', from British director Si Wall. Also in 2013, he collaborated with musicians Ryo Okumoto and Jimmy Keegan, both from critically acclaimed progressive rock band 'Spock's Beard', on a single that was released in May/2013 under the project HESS&FRANZEN, a progressive rock/metal side project that is shared with composer with British based composer Hans Hess since 2010.
In 2014 he was commissioned by ROBA PM (Germany) to compose and produce an album for their library. This is his second collaboration with the label. The first collaboration resulted in the production music album called 'The Clock Tower' released May/2014 (Available at Itunes, Spotify, Deezer, Amazon...). The next album is due to be released in 2015. 
The Science Channel licensed his music through ScoreKeepers (USA) for the TV show 'Are we alone? Alien Encounters'.
